'Walk and Talk' Facebook Group

By QMHallsSimon 20 Dec 2020

Walk and talk is a programme aimed at bringing Queen Mary students together during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This group will enable you to safely meet and exercise together, helping reduce isolation and maintain and improve your mental and physical wellbeing.

How does it work?

Step 1: Join the Facebook Group – you’ve got that far already – Wahoo!

Step 2: If you want to meet up with other students and go for a walk – post on the group and arrange to meet with somebody else who also fancies going for a walk.

Step 3: Go for a walk!

The programme aims to provide a platform for you to get access to other students who want to get out of their halls or study spaces, clear your heads, stretch your legs and get physical and mental benefits at the same time.

You don’t have to know the other students to go for a walk, so this is a great opportunity to meet new people.

Some great places to walk are:

-         Victoria Park

-         Limehouse Basin

-         Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park

*Please be aware and abide by the latest government guidance on social distancing and meet ups. In Tier 4, you can only meet with one person from another household outdoors for a walk.
